O GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every fatherhood in heaven and earth is named, vouchsafe, on this day of the blessed parent, St. Anne, to renew, in thy people, the consecration of the family, its affections and responsibilities, with increasing holiness unto thee, that this and every generation may be hallowed by thy love and fear ; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
