An Anglo-Catholic Prayer

based on Ephesians I. 17-20

O GOD of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give unto us, we pray Thee, a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Thee; and enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we may know what is the hope of Thy calling; what the riches of the glory of Thy inheritance in the Saints; and what the exceeding greatness of Thy Power to us-ward who believe; according to the working of the strength of Thy might, which Thou hast wrought in Christ when Thou didst raise Him from the dead, and didst make Him to sit in the Heavenly Places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, to Whom, with Thee and the Holy Ghost, be all honour and glory, now and for evermore. Amen.
